The Assignment

Examples of Web 2.0 technology being used for social and business application are all around us. New technologies are appearing all the time.Everyone in this course is responsible for writing 2 new blog posts (do not reply to this one), with each being about 3-4 paragraphs long. Your posts will need to be on the following two topics, respectively (one of each).


  • Introduce the class to a new technology as well as its potential business application  
  • Summarize and reflect upon an innovative technique using an already established Web 2.0 technology (like the Wheat Thins campaign.)

Hologram Navigation is Now a Real Possibility

The world evolves around innovation, the constant growth of the web and technology creates an exciting time time to live in. One if the most recent innovation is hologram navigation. Soon you can be driving and receiving navigation just like your driving a car in a video game. The Navion is still being tested and in a prototype stage, however it projects a holographic imagery onto the windshield. A small device will be displaying navigation info and safety notifications where you can see them. The directions would be arrows on the road telling you which way to go allowing the driver to keep his eyes on the road rather then looking away from the road to their phones or navigation system. Driving is one of the most dangerous activities that humans do every day. That is why innovating cars and their technology is so vital in preventing accidents.
